How to Stay Motivated and Keep Your Energy high

We’ve all been through it team, you’ve set a goal and you’re feeling so good about it. Fast forward a few weeks and you’ve hit some road bumps, you think you’re not seeing results and it looks like you’ll never reach your goal. Well here are 3 tips to help make sure you stay motivated on your journey and your energy is kept high throughout.

  1. Learn to set small achievable goals. Break your end target down in to 3 smaller targets – level 1, 2 & 3. Level 1 is where you start and where you are still pumped to get going. Level 2 will be the most challenging because you hit that brick wall and will need to remind yourself of your “why”. This is what will guide you and help you remember to keep going. More on this later, but be sure to hold on to your why! Level 3 is where you really start to be able to visualise your end goal how it would feel when you get there, this will keep you motivated to reach your target.

  1. Find your “why” and hold on to it. Your “why” is the fuel in your engine. It is what will motivate you to get up in the rain, get up when your body hurts, when your tired or when you just don’t feel like it! It is the bigger reason that keeps you pushing. This could be anything from a doctor’s report or just the will to change something in your life. You must have a why and a vision and it must be so big and so important that you would do whatever it takes to achieve it. It will help you to stay true to yourself, run your own race and stay in your lane. Which brings us to the final point.

  1. Stay focused on yourself. On your journey you will get distracted but it is important that you disconnect from the noise and stay focused on you and your goals. Just because you started the journey with some one doesn’t mean you are going to reach your goals at the same time or have the same results. If you are looking at some one else’s journey you won’t have time to appreciate your own and how far you have come. Behind closed doors you don’t know what sacrifices are being made by the person you are comparing yourself to, nor do you know what they are going through. Comparing yourself will always set you up to fail. You are your own competition!

Hope this helps team, stick with it and let me know if you need any help. Always remember #trainingisawayoflife #letsgochamp
